State Bank of India has announced countries highest banking personnel call with its initiative of recruiting 4500 Probationary Officers in the year 2010. Among these 4500 Probationary Officers almost 2000 will be absorbed as Probationary Officers specially for rural business. State Bank is having benchmark of 25000 vacancies for the this year against intake of 27000 last year.
State Bank of India is country's largest bank and lender also. State Bank of India is eying branches every where in India hence why they are on the fastest pace among other banks. Specially they are targeting the rural areas that is why 2000 Probationary Officer will be recruited specially for this field.
"We will be recruiting around 25000 employees this year and the exercise is under way" - SBI Chairman OP Bhatt said in an interview. Bank is in process of recruiting 11000 clerks for its marketing, banking and advisory positions. At the same time bank has also recruited 500 Management Trainees this year. Bank is also opening various kind of cells in big cities of India. These cells are specialized sections of the bank where various kind of administrative as well as special activities of the bank will be dealt like Credit sanctioning system etc.
Bank recorded net profit almost at par with the last year's net profit. Bank's net profit for the quarter ended 2009 is Rs. 2479 Crore almost same with the last year.
