WBSEDCL & WBSETCL two wholly owned profit making Government of West Bengal Enterprises, in business of Hydel Generation, Power Distribution and Transmission throughout the state of West Bengal invites applications from Citizen of India to recruit 530 Assistants:

Assistants: Total Post 530 (reservation as per the reules of West Bengal Government) (WBSEDCL - 500 + WBSETCL - 30) Scale of Pay: Rs. 6300 - 20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2600/- (Current Gross Pay monthly - Rs. 14000/- per month)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 

• EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Graduation in any discipline with atleast 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised University or Graduation in any University or Graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in HS level
AND
Must have passed certificate course/any other courses on computer from any of the Institute indicated below: (i) ‘O’ Level Course of DOECC Society, Govt. of India or, (ii) One Year course in Computer Application from any Institute recognised by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education or, (iii) One year diploma course in Modern Office Practice and management from any Institute recognised by WB State Council of Technical Education or, (iv) Course of Computer Operation and Programming Assistant (Basic Skill) from Regional Vocational Training Institute, Director General of Employment & Training, Govt. of India or, (v) Secretarial practices (Basic Skill and / or Advanced Skill) from Regional Vocational Training Institute, Director General of Employment & Training, Govt. of India or, (vi) Passed 12th standard in vocational stream from State Council of Vocational Training, Govt. of West Bengal with any of the following combination : (a) Computer fundamentals and Programming and Computer Assembly and Maintenance (b) IT enabled services and Computer fundamentals and Programming or,
(B) (a) 3 year full time Bachelor Degree in Computer Application (BCA) from a recognised University with 50% marks in aggregate or, (b) Bachelor Degree in Science with honours in Statistics from a recognised University with 50% marks in aggregate or, (c) Bachelor Degree in any stream with Computer Application/Computer Science as a Pass Subject with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised University or, (d) Candidates having 50% marks in H.S. with 3 year full time degree at item (a) or (b) or (c) above may also apply.

• AGE (as on 01.01.2010): Maximum 27 years (relaxation as per norms).

OTHER REQUIREMENT: Candidates having adequate knowledge for communicating in Bengali/ Nepali language need only apply.


SELECTION PROCEDURE: Written Test, Computer Proficiency Test and Interview.

After successful registration get print out of the Registration page and send the lower half part along with required documents and DD (if applicable) to the following address:

Online Registration: From 10th Feb 2010 up to 02nd March 2010.
Last date for receiving application at given address: 5th March 2010.
