State Bank of India has 5 Associate Banks at present viz. State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Tranvancore, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur and State Bank of Mysore.

Earlier State Bank of Saurastra and State Bank of Indore were also there in Associates of SBI. Recently these two Banks have been merged in its parent Bank SBI only. Rest 5 associates are also supposed to be merged in the parent Bank in near future. 
Recruitment of 4987 Probationary Officer (PO) in Associate Banks of State Bank of India (SBI)

Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, State Bank of India (SBI), Corporate Centre, Mumbai invites Online applications from Indian citizens for appointment of 4987 Probationary Officers posts in State Bank of India Associate Banks up to  25/06/2011 :

• Probationary Officer (PO) : 4987 posts in various states in India (SBBJ-1000, SBH-1416, SBM-843, SBP-1328, SBT-404) (see detailed advt. for detailed Bank-wise, State-wise and Category-wise vacancies) , Pay Scale : Rs.14500-25700/-, Qualification : Graduation in any discipline from a recognised College / University, Age : 21-30 years as on 01/06/2011. Age relaxation as per Govt. rules.

Selection Procedure : Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the written test on 07/08/2011 and Group Discussion & Interview for selected candidates.

Application Fee : Rs.500/- (for SC/ST/PWD Rs.50/- only) to be deposited in any branch of SBI by a prescribed deposit slip and get receipt up to 23/06/2011. Details of the payment should be entered in online application form.
