State Bank of India vide their ADVERTISEMENT NO. CRPD/PO-PO(RB)/2009-10/07 invites application from citizens of India for recruitment of Probationary Officers in State Bank of India; and Recruitment of Probationary Officers (Rural Business) in State Bank of India. It is the highest demand of POs from any single bank in Indian History. Details is given as under:

i) Probationary Officers: Total 2500 (SC - 345; ST - 372; OBC - 621; GEN - 1162) out of which (VH - 75; OH - 61)
ii) Probationary Officers (for Rural Business): Total 2000 (SC - 300; ST - 150; OBC - 540; GEN - 1010) out of which (VH - 30; OH - 30)

Note:
  • A single application would be served for both the posts. No extra fees would be charged. 
  • Candidate applying for post of P.O. will be liable to posted anywhere in India. 
  • Candidate will be having option to apply for both the posts while registering on-line application.
ELIGIBILITY (as on 28.02.2010)
A) Essential Academic Qualification: 60% (55% for SC/ST/PWD) aggregate marks in XIIth standard or in Diploma after Xth standard AND 55% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) aggregate marks in Graduation.

B) Age Limit: 21-30 years of age (Upper age will be relaxed for candidates who have worked in Scheduled Commercial Banks in the field of Agriculture/ Rural Business subject to terms & condition) 

SELECTION PROCEDURE (COMMON FOR BOTH THE POSTS): 
Phase I: Written Examination of Combined Duration of 3 Hrs. (Combined Objective & Descriptive Type Tests of 250 marks)
Phase II: For POs: Max Marks 50 (GD-20 + Interview-30) & For POs(RB): Max Marks 50 (GD-10 + Interview-30 + Experience - 10)

Final selection will be made on performance in Phase I and Phase II; candidates who secure minimum 40% marks in group discussion and interview will  be considered for final selection.

APPLICATION FEE: Rs. 500 (Rs. 50 for SC, ST and PWD).

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: 
1. Download "CASH VOUCHER" performa from bank's website (link given below) and fill the required blanks after taking a printout.
2. Visit any Branch of State Bank of India only (not associate bank's branches) and pay the amount prescribed and get candidates copy from the branch.
3. The candidate is required to apply online through  bank's website (link given below).

DATE OF COMMON WRITTEN EXAMINATION: 18.04.2010 (rescheduled)
PAYMENT OF FEES: BETWEEN  01.02.2010 TO 28.02.2010  10th March 2010 (rescheduled) (SAME FOR ALL CANDIDATES)
ON-LINE REGISTRATION WILL START FROM: 01.02.2010
