Oriental Bank of Commerce, Leading bank in public sector bank arena has come up with 313 vacancies in probationary officer recruitment. Details is given as under:

PROBATIONARY OFFICER (PO):

• Post code - 01, 

• Grade/Scale - JMGS - I, 

• Vacancies : 313 (SC - 46, ST - 23, OBC - 84, GENERAL - 160, TOTAL - 313,  Out of which (PC - 9) - 3 each for VI, HI, OC)
  

• Payscale: 10000-18240 (Basic), 

• Age (as on 01.10.2009): Minimum 21 - Maximum 30 Years i.e. applicants should have been born between 01.10.1988 & 30.09.1979 (both days inclusive)
  

• Education Qualification Eligibility (as on 01.10.2009): Graduation, Minimum 60 % for Science graduates (55 % for SC/ST/PWD), 55% for graduates in other streams (50 % for SC/ST/PWD) in aggregate from recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by Govt. of India with the same percentage as stipulated above.  Candidates with additional qualification such as CA, CFA, MBA, MCA shall be preffered. Basic Computer literacy is essential qualification which a candidate must possess or can be acquired after joining the bank within 6 months. For this purpose, the candidate is required to submit a certificate in support of this computer related qualification.

• Application Fee: For SC/ST/PC candidates - Rs. 50, Others (Including OBC) - Rs. 400.
  

 (As the date is given for educational qualification, candidate must note that the certificates showing their qualification should be possesing the date of issue before 01.10.2009)
Abbreviations stand for: SC - Scheduled Caste, ST - Scheduled Tribe, OBC - Other Backward Classes, GEN-General, OC - Orthopaedically Challenged, VI - Visually Impaired, B/LV – Blind/Low Vision, HI - Hearing Impaired, PC – Physically Challenged, PWD - Persons with Disability.

Selection Procedure: Written test comprising a OBJECTIVE TESTS (DURATION - 135 MINUTES) & DESCRIPTIVE TEST (45 MINUTES). Successful candidates will be appearing for an INTERVIEW. Final selection would be made on the basis of performance in Written Test and Interview.

4. Take a printout of application for further record and retain the payment slip with yourself. Payment slip has to be produced at the time of written test.
