United Bank of India, a leading Public sector Bank is having requiremnt of 1040 Clerical staff for various regions. UBI clerical post (1040) all the details given as under:

• Post: Clerk-cum-Cashier in the clerical Cadre
• Age (as on 30.09.2009): Minimum 18 Years & Maximum 28 Years
• Educational Qualification/Eligibility (as on 30.09.2009): A First Class Pass (60% marks in the aggregate) in the Higher Secondary School (HSC) Examination or Standard XII under the 10+2+3 pattern or Standard XI under the 11+3 pattern or Intermediate Examination or Pre-University (PUC) Examination from a recognised Educational Board OR A Pass Class Graduate Degree from a UGC recognised reputed University.
• Computer Knowledge: Computer Awareness and Office Automation Course (Computer Basics, DOS, MS Office, Internet & E-Mail) from a Computer Training Institute of a duration of minimum 60 hours.
  
• Basic Pay: Rs. 4410 - 13210, Plus other allowances
• Vacancy: Total 1040 (SC - 170, ST - 90, OBC - 259, GENERAL - 521) Of the total 1040 vacancies, break-up of reserved vacancies for PWD & Exservicemen categories will be as follows: VC–34,  HI-39,  OC–18 &  XS–151.

 It should be noted that Clerical Cadre 1040 vacancies are allocated in various States/Union Territory. A candidate have to choose particular State or Union Territory for examination and posting would be given in the same State or Union Territory. One person can't appear for more than one State/Union Territory.  It should be kept in mind that the choice of State/Union Territory does not have anything with the domicile of candidate but it is imperative that candidate is conversant with the local language of that State/Union Territory. 

UR - (Unreserved - General); SC – Scheduled Caste; ST – Scheduled Tribe:
OBC – Other Backward Classes; XS - Ex-Servicemen
PWD - Persons With Disabilities (Physically Challenged Persons) are persons who are:
OC - Orthopaedically Challenged;
HI - Hearing Impaired.
VC - Visually Challenged (Blind / Partially Blind / Low Vision).

Selection Procedure: A written test comprising Objective Test – 200 Questions - 200 Marks (Duration: Composite 95 Minutes) along with  Objective Test on Computer Knowledge - One paper - 50 Marks (Duration: 30 Minutes). Successful Candidates would be called for Personal Interview.
