Advertisement for the post of Chief Archivist in Grade ‘D’ (DGM) for Department of Economic and Policy Research

Applications are invited for the mentioned above post in the Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR) - for RBI Archives, Pune in Reserve Bank of India (RBI/Bank): 

• Chief Archivist in Grade 'D' (Deputy General Manager) : 1 post (General Category), Pay Scale : Rs.39850-46150/- in 6 years, At present, initial monthly gross emoluments for Grade 'D' officer are Rs.- 77,990/-(approx) at the minimum of the scale.Age : Not exceeding 45 years. Education: (i) Post-Graduate in Modern Indian History with minimum 50% marks from a recognized University or equivalent AND(ii) Diploma or Certificate Course in Archival Studies or Records Management.

Applications are sought for the post of Research Officers in Reserve Bank of India from Indian Citizens and others eligible (as per norms). Details are given as under:

Research Officers in Grade B: For Dept. of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM) Total Post: 10 (Gen - 5, SC - 3, OBC - 2); Pay Scale Rs. 13700 - 24400).

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

To obtain and compile data, undertake various statistical analysis, designing and organizing of large scale sample surveys and processing on the Bank's Computer System.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 

• AGE (as on 01 Feb. 2010): Between 21 and 30 years. Candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualification in the specified subjects will be eligible for relaxation in upper age limit by 1 and 3 years respectively (relaxation available as per norms).

• EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

A Master's Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT - Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT - Bombay with a minimum 55% marks.
OR
Master's Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks and one year post graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from a reputed Institute.
OR
M.Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with a minimum 55% marks.

(For SC Candidates, minimum marks for above given requirements would be 50%)

DESIRABLE: i) Doctorate in topics related to above given subjects will be given preference.
ii) Research or teaching experience and publication in standard journals will be considered as an additional qualification.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:


Written Test & Interview. Written test will be conducted on May 8 and May 9 and will consist 3 papers (Objective Type on Statistics, Descriptive Type on Statistics & English).
